
Ken has experienced the combined area of technology, business and law and has been an experienced patent attorney as well as an attorney. He joined Tokushu Paper Mfg. Co., Ltd.(currently Tokushu Tokai Paper Co., Ltd.) in 1995, where he worked on research and development regarding novel printing papers, and intellectual property. In 1997, he joined ION PATENT, where he worked on intellectual property prosecution in Japan, US, EPC, Asian countries and the like, mainly in the chemical patent area. He passed the Patent Attorney Examination in Japan in 1999. He attended Seikei Law School from 2004 to 2007 while working as a patent attorney. In 2007, he passed the Bar Examination and joined the Legal Training and Research Institute. He joined Uchida & Samejima Law Firm in 2009. He has worked on intellectual property litigation and strategic intellectual property advice to technology corporations.
In 1992, he graduated from the University of Tokyo, Wood science major (Bachelor of Agriculture). In 1995, he completed Master Course of Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, The University of Tokyo (Master of Agriculture). In 2007, he graduated from Seikei Law School (Juris Doctor).
